Michael Simmill was born in New Zealand to Australian parents. He was raised in a devout Methodist family and was introduced early to Christian teachings and attended Sunday School. His family relocated to Australia when he was thirteen. During his youth, he was active in the Assemblies of God Church in Brisbane, where he experienced a profound personal encounter with his faith that solidified his commitment. A defining moment in Michael’s spiritual journey came when he learned about the British-Israel message and embraced his identity as a descendant of Israel. This transformed hi understanding of Scripture and created a lasting passion for biblical study despite facing resistance within his church community and peer pressure. He stepped into the role as President of the BIWF Queensland in 2006 after the resignation of Peter Downing and his time as vice-president. Michael has spent many years researching, republishing and building upon the work of the BIWF in Australia, including writing articles in the Queensland BIWF Journal.
