Frank Dowsett was a dedicated Christian leader known for his teachings on the law of God and the British Israel (BI) identity. Raised in the Baptist Church and briefly involved with Pentecostal circles, he was ultimately asked to leave both due to his distinct beliefs. In response, he converted his garage in St Marys, Western Sydney, into a small chapel where he led services and Bible studies for a close-knit group in the 1980s to 2000s. Known for his voice and musical talent, he played the organ and sang pieces like Handel’s Messiah during services.
Frank published numerous books, and had his own bi-monthly magazine, called Covenant Vision. He was a regular contributor to Thy Kingdom Come (ACP Canada) and the Look Up! magazine. Along with his publications, he also reached a global audience through an extensive tape ministry. He also served as president of the BIWF NSW in the 1970s and 1980s and was invited to speak internationally, including in Ireland and the USA. Supported by his wife Betty and their four children, he balanced ministry with his work as a project supervisor in the building industry.
