To the vast majority of Christians this question is really no question at all. Is this not the celebration of our Lord and Saviour who came to us, born as a babe in order to be clothed in flesh, that He may be tempted in all points as us, yet did not sin, and thereby shed His innocent blood that He might effect for us a perfect salvation? Indeed, we are only too aware and saddened on how commercialised this festive season has become. Have you ever contemplated on the fact that even the non-believers feel quite comfortable in partaking in the celebrations? As Christians we dearly would emphasise that “Jesus is the reason for the season,” or, that CHRIST should be put back into XMAS.
