In the Scriptures of Truth, God has written many promises of future blessing and prosperity concerning Israel, “the seed of Abraham, My friend,” and lest they should be regarded lightly as though they were merely promises of man, He made many of them upon oath, sworn by Himself, because there was no greater, so that man might have the utmost confidence in their certainty. Many of these great prophecies are yet unfulfilled, and, strange to say, the greater portion of the people to whom He made them are missing. The Jews—the Two Tribes—are well known, but the Ten Tribes are utterly lost. That they are here upon the earth is certain, and are also a countless multitude, as was prophesied of them. Man has lost sight and count of them, but we may be perfectly sure God has not. They are even lost to themselves wherever they are, for no great nation is now called by their name or claims nationally a lineal descent from them. Then where are they? It is of the utmost importance that, if possible, they be found and identified, as the whole future of the world, the lot of the whole human race from now to the end of time, depends on this, “Who are Israel, and where are they?”
