Frequently Asked Questions

About Us

Who Are You?

We are the Australian branch of the British-Israel-World Federation, an international, non-denominational Christian organisation established in 1919. We teach that the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Scandinavian and kindred Western peoples are descendants of the ancient House of Israel, in fulfilment of biblical prophecy and covenant promises.

Core Beliefs

What Is British-Israel?

The British-Israel Message affirms that God’s ancient promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are being fulfilled through the modern nations descended from the ten-tribed House of Israel, especially found in the Western world. We believe this has profound implications for identity, history, and prophecy.

Are you saying only Anglo-Saxons are God's people?

Absolutely not. We believe that God is sovereign over all nations and that salvation is through Christ alone to all who believe, regardless of race or background. The British-Israel Message is about national destiny, not individual salvation or racial superiority.

Is this different to Jews and Judaism?

Yes. The Jews are primarily descendants of the House of Judah, while the British-Israel message focuses on the House of Israel, which was taken into Assyrian captivity and later migrated to Europe. These two houses were prophesied to develop separately but are destined for future reunification (Ezekiel 37).

Do you believe the Church replaces Israel?

No. We reject Replacement Theology. We affirm that God’s covenant with Israel is everlasting and being fulfilled in history. The Church, composed of believers from all nations, participates in God’s purposes, but Israel’s national identity and role remain intact.

Historical & Biblical Foundation

Is this teaching found in the Bible?

Yes. From Genesis to Revelation, the Scriptures consistently affirm God’s promises to the twelve tribes of Israel. We highlight biblical prophecies about Israel’s migration, colonisation, blessings, and future regathering—many of which are fulfilled in the development of Western Christian nations.

Do you use history and archaeology?

Yes. Our teaching is supported by historical records, linguistic evidence, heraldry, archaeology, and fulfilled prophecy. We trace the migrations of the lost tribes from ancient Assyria through Europe and into the Isles and beyond.

Is this related to British colonialism?

No. We acknowledge the flaws of colonial history. The British-Israel message is not a celebration of empire but of biblical covenant and responsibility—to bless, serve, and lead with righteousness.

Modern Relevance

Why does this message matter today?

Understanding our identity helps us interpret modern events through the lens of prophecy. It restores purpose, destiny, and moral responsibility to nations that have drifted from their spiritual heritage. It calls Western Christian nations to repentance, righteousness, and revival.

How does this relate to Bible prophecy?

We interpret prophecy from a historicist perspective—seeing many biblical prophecies as unfolding throughout history, not just in the future. The Covenant Nations play a central role in God’s redemptive timeline.

Common Misconceptions

Is this associated with racism or extremist groups?

No. We strongly reject any form of racism or hatred. While some fringe groups have twisted our message, we remain committed to a biblical, Christ-centred, non-racial interpretation of Israel’s identity and purpose.

Are you a cult or a sect?

No. We are a Christian teaching ministry made up of believers from various denominations. Our core doctrine affirms the authority of Scripture, salvation through Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
